The Theory of Everything

The Theory of Everything is the story of renowned physicist, Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne), beginning with his time as a PHD student at Cambridge University. The film portrays Hawking’s working life, the relationship he had with his first wife, Jane, and the impact that Motor Neurone Disease has had on his life.

The film was shot in multiple locations across England including Cambridgeshire, London, Middlesex, Ealing Film Studios, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Particular scenes of note include those shot on the beach at Camber Sands and at The Bluebell Railway in Sussex.
