Celebrating Our Welsh Extras and Productions

While we may be a little late to the St David’s day celebrations, we don’t see any reason why we can’t show our amazing Welsh supporting artistes a little love! We’ve worked on lots of productions based in Wales and we’re honoured to have such a large and talented group of Welsh extras on our books, so we thought it was only right that we shouted it from the rooftops!  

Celebrating Our Welsh Supporting Extras  

Just in case you weren’t aware, Uni-versal Extras actually have a pretty large presence in Wales, with many of our productions and an office based over the border. Our most recent productions in Wales include thriller, ‘The Toll’, series 2 of ‘A Discovery of Witches’ , both series of 'His Dark Materials' and multiple series of ‘Sex Education’. If you’re based in Wales and would like to be a film and TV extra, you’re in the right place! Over the years we’ve helped our amazing Welsh supporting artists find many exciting roles and helped them all the way through the casting process. 

With UK travel permitted in and out of Wales from 12th April, we’re hopeful that even more, great things are on the horizon! To make sure you don’t miss out on any casting opportunities, make sure you’ve downloaded our UVE Artistes app, available exclusively for our extras. The app allows you to enable push notifications straight to your phone, which you can filter by location. So, if you’re based in Wales, you can select ‘Wales’ in your app settings to receive notifications on all of the latest casting opportunities in the country as soon as they’re released. We’ve held plenty of open castings in Wales which we thoroughly enjoyed. It’s always so lovely to meet our supporting artists and understand more about them, and we can’t wait until we’re able to return to Wales and hold future events!
