When Uni-versal Extras was set up, our mission was to make the casting process easier for everyone involved. For almost 16 years, we’ve cast countless roles for thousands of well-known productions and to this day, we’re still as determined as ever to be the best we can be, for both our Supporting Artistes and our clients.

Casting is something we’re really enthusiastic about, which is exactly why we do it! We’re honoured every single time a new Supporting Artiste registers with us, and our mission is to find them their perfect roles. When we receive a role, we don’t just look at the numbers. We delve straight into our pool of Extras and we look at who we think would best fit the role. From there, we reach out to our Supporting Artists who fit the criteria provided to us from the production, and check to see if they’re available for filming before summiting the all-important lookbooks to our clients. It really is as simple as that!

We provide our Extras with the support they need from start to finish. From photo advice, to availability checks, to new communication platforms and top tips to make your profile stand out to productions, we’re on hand to help you every step of the way. One platform we’re super proud of is our UVE Artiste app, which is available for free exclusively to our Supporting Artistes. The app allows our extras to update their profile whilst on the go and also receive notifications about the latest roles straight to your phone.
