It's London Marathon Time!

Posted by: Rebecca on Friday 1st October 2021

This weekend, the London Marathon is being held after a year and a half delay due to the pandemic. One member of our team is taking on the gruelling 26 miles for an amazing cause and everyone at Uni-versal Extras will be cheering him on!

Grab your Running Shoes!

On Sunday, the London Marathon will once again return to the city and will see thousands of runners take to the streets to raise money for their chosen charities. It’s always an emotional day for everyone involved, not least the incredible runners, and it’s an event that we look forward to each year.

One of our Senior Casting Co-ordinators, Chris, will be running on Sunday, which will be his first marathon ever. Chris is running for Bowel Cancer UK, a charity that is very close to his heart. His training has been years in the making as he was originally supposed to run the marathon back in 2020, but of course the pandemic saw a delay in that plan. But finally, all his hard work and determination will be coming into play on Sunday and we know he will absolutely smash it!

If you would like to read more about Chris’s marathon story and more behind the reason he is running, check out his fundraising page.

Everyone here at Uni-versal Extras would like to wish Chris the best of luck on Sunday. We all know how hard he’s worked and we’re super proud of him – although we were slightly sad when he told us that he wasn't planning on running the full 26 miles in a deep-sea diver costume! But we’ll be sure to celebrate his success nonetheless when he returns to the office next week! If you would like to wish Chris good luck, be sure to do so in the comments!

If you’re also running the London Marathon on Sunday, UVE would also like to wish you the best of luck!
