Court judge, Fiona Maye, is ruling on a case of a gravely ill teenage boy who is refusing a blood transfusion as it’s against his religious beliefs. While Fiona faces a difficult time at work, things start to worsen at home.

The Children Act marks the second Ian McEwan novel Uni-versalExtras have worked on this year and the second film starring Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci (the first being Beauty and the Beast).
