Specifically, areas for filming included Blair Castle, Harewood House near Leeds, Staithes in North Yorkshire, Wentworth Woodhouse near Rotherham, Ripon, Temple Newsam, Church Fenton, Duncombe Park, Bramham Park, Harewood House, Allerton Castle and Lincolnshire.

In addition to standard extras and background parts, Uni-versalEXTRAS also cast some specific individual roles such as the wicked step sister.
